Prayer Strategy for Southeast Louisiana FCA

Our enemy has a strategy: Like a thief satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. John 10: 10    "There are 2 thrones at war. God is claiming the earth for His dominion and Satan is seeking to usurp the authority of God. We as believers are called to displace Satan from his present realm and to make Christ head over all."     Watchman Knee
Our commander and chief has a strategy as well.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 1John 3: 8
Jesus told his ministry team of 72 after they had returned from a successful ministry outing "I saw Satan fall like lighting from heaven"
Paul told the Romans in Romans 15:20 "They could expect the God of peace to soon crush Satan under there feet."

               Should we expect anything less!!!

  1. ·      Put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the Schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-11
  2. ·      We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, “To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions.”   (2 Corinthians 10:4, 2:11)
  3. ·      Prayer for discernment and exposure of enemy strongholds and evil plans against the schools. And more importantly against the minds of students.
  4. ·      Prayer for wisdom and protection, physically and spiritually for school leadership.
  5. ·      Prayer for the salvation of students who do not know Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Prayer for true discipleship of students who come to know Christ and there assimilation into the local church.
  6. ·      Ask God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to give student’s spiritual wisdom and insight so that they might grow in the knowledge of God.                                     (Ephesians 1:17)

·            Pray for the strengthening of FCA’s bond with the local church

With out strategic prayer our evangelistic efforts will lack the power to see total and true transformation of lives in this region. “my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” 1Cor. 2:4  “For the Kingdom of God does not consist of talk but in power” 1Cor 4:20
The goal for the ministry of FCA in Southeast LA:
To see God’s kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven (the reign and rule of God established over our entire region.)
“Thy Kingdom Come Thy will be done on
earth as it is in Heaven”  Matt 6:10
Our mandate is to preach and proclaim the life-transforming gospel to every person in the tri parish area. Life transforming gospel message evidenced by men and women yielding to the supremacy of Jesus Christ and making Him Lord.
