ARISE SHINE FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME

ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!  Isaiah 60:1 amp
Shake off the sleep and slumber of the night
and arise to a new life in Christ.
The darkest part of the night is just before the dawn. The coldest part of the night is just before the dawn. The longest part of the night is just before dawn. The time in which your most likely to give up is just before dawn. For those of us that fellowship at Lifepoint Church I believe that the rays of the morning light have begun to pierce the long, cold, dark, night and that as this verse indicates the light of the Son has begun to shine. Walk in it, bask in it, be warmed by it, and share it with others. We are to be a reflection of the Son. But in order to do that as Isaiah 60:1 states we have to be willing to shake off the sleep and slumber of the night and rise up out of  the depression of our circumstances. Life has away of leveling us so to speak, laying us out or just flat running us over. What are the things that have kept you from rising up to new life? Verse 2 of Isaiah 60 goes on to say "darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you." God is wanting to shed the light of his glory over all those who call Him Lord and Savior but he cant do that until we have let go of everything that is keeping us from rising up in Him.
