These are some thoughts about our intentions for prayer @ The Prayer House.
We believe prayer is to be:
A. Scripture lead ( The prayers that are prayed in the New Testament by our Lord and the Apostle set a pattern for strategic praying and its our heart that we take our lead from, not to the exclusion of other prayers
A. Scripture lead ( The prayers that are prayed in the New Testament by our Lord and the Apostle set a pattern for strategic praying and its our heart that we take our lead from, not to the exclusion of other prayers
B. Worship centered ( We believe that prayer that comes out of a heart of worship tends to be more God centered Jesus prayed "thy kingdom come thy will be done" )
C. Presence driven ( We believe that when we pray we are coming into the very throne room of God, and that we need to pray with that awareness Acts.13:2 "they were ministering to the Lord" It is our desire that @The Prayer House those who pray see themselves as ministers before the Lord )
Our expectations @ The Prayer House are
A. To see God (Paul prays that the church at Ephesus would receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him)
B. To experience Life change ( you can't meet with Jesus and stay the same)
C. To be World impacting (when I change, the atmosphere around me changes, and the world begins to change, one person at a time
What do we hope to accomplish @ The Prayer House?
1st It is to help bring realignment to the church regarding prayer, Jesus quoted Isaiah 56:7 when he said "My house will be called a house of prayer for all the people"
2nd To see the power of God displayed through the gifting of his people in a greater measure than we have known, in order that we might carry out the advancement of his Kingdom in the fashion that is prescribed in scripture.
3rd Give a place for the weary, wounded, and broken hearted, to be able to come in and find rest for there weary souls and healing for there broken bodies.
