Faith, without it, it is impossible to please God. I believe this past weekend was all about faith. God calls us to step out and put feet to our faith. We can talk about wining the world for Christ but until we step out in faith and begin to engage the world how can we expect to reach it. I think God would say to the members at Lifepoint after this past weekend well done. You say how many came to Christ? How many joined the church? Well I am not sure. But I don't think the results are as important to the Lord as the act of obedience was on our part. It starts with our obedience to move out and then God moves to meet us, often the people we thought he was going to bring to us are not the ones He ultimately touches. I don't always understand it but that is what I have experienced. We have had children Show up to VBS that had no connection to anything this past weekend but some how they found out about it. Which says to me that if we will be obedient to act God will take care of the rest. Often in our results oriented world we hang everything on the end result paying little attention to the learning growing process that God has us in. I am pleased with the many little acts of kindness I saw demonstrated over the past few days and I believe God was pleased also. So be encouraged.
Thanks again for all your help. As we continue in the journey to discover Church as God intends it.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of The Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness shall the peoples; But the Lord will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you."
