Ellen and I have always loved being apart of the Denham Springs community, especially on Friday nights. As a youth pastor I made it my business to be at as many athletic events as possible. Now that Michael plays football for the Yellow Jackets it's an even greater treat to go to the games and to help with the events. Often I get to stand on the sidelines and hold the down markers. Tonight was one of those nights. I'm proud of my son, not because he's an outstanding football player (and he is) but because he has a heart for the Lord, and he truly desires to walk with God. He's not perfect but who is? I tell him all the time play ball as hard as you can, play to please Father. Not me but ABA Father.
Like Paul says in the verse above everything comes from God and it's all for his Honor and His Glory, even football
